Hello Everyone... So yes, two kids is more than double the work of one. Sorry I haven't updated in a while. Well Ariel will be 4 months tommorrow and it has been a ride. She has been a little stinker of a baby. Diagnosed with reflux, and now battling with her 2-3 hour witching hour every night. But when she smiles and laughs it some how makes it all worth it. She is really starting to get her personality. Gavin has been a great big brother. He is officially in the middle of potty training and doing great. We just had our first real Halloween with him and he had a blast. Well gotta go, but here are a bunch of pics from our trip to Minnesota up untill last night trick or treating. You can watch the rolls accumulate on Ariel.. LOL Talk soon.

Ariel's Arrival
Ariel Rose Kingslien was born on July 2nd, 2009 at 9:42am. She weighed 7lbs, 12oz and was 20.5 inches in length. Wow, what a different story than the birth of our son Gavin. We went to the hospital early Thursday morning (2am) to be induced. I had been having contractions the night before, so she was coming any day anyway. They started the drugs to make the contractions stronger by 3:30 AM, and let me tell you it worked. They continued to get stronger and faster. At 7:00am came what Scott calls "The Breaking of the Waters". By this time I was very insistent on seeing the anesthesiologist for an epidural. After a little trouble, I GOT THE DRUGS. This was around 8:30am. At that point I was 5cm dilated. At 9:00am, I looked at Scott and said, "I think I have to push? Thinking it was way too soon, I thought I would just wait for the nurse to check on me in a little bit. Five minutes later I decided to let the nurse know. To make a long story short.... she basically said DON'T PUSH. The doctor was called, and 3 -4 pushes later..... We had our beautiful baby girl.

Gavin has really impressed us with how he is handling this huge change. He really loves her and has even started to give some of his toys to her. He is always asking to give her kisses, and every time she starts to whimper or cry he is right there saying... "SHH SHH Its OK Ariel"
We made sure to test out the new stroller on our first walk around the neighborhood. Gavin likes having the company on our walks.
After walking, or even standing for that matter, in the 100 degree heat, we caught the boys sucking down some Popsicles. Don't those faces just make you think they did something wrong???

Gavin has also been such a great helper. Getting diapers and wipes when its time to change Ariel's diaper, and he even doesn't mind throwing the 'stinky' ones away.

Ariel has been such an amazing baby so far. She sleeps constantly, and rarely fusses. She has big beautiful blue eyes just like her brother. She will defiantly be a heart breaker.

Here is cuddle time. For those who know Gavin well, they know that he has a stuffed puppy, who's name is...... Puppy. This poor stuffed toy comes with us everywhere and is his best companion. To our surprise he has even offered this to Ariel to snuggle with. It looks like he will have a new best companion..... his sister.
Ariel has met the love of her life already. Mr. Blake Dodge, our friends 4 week old son. When they met, Scott and Gavin had to have a talk with Blake to lay down the law when it comes to their daughter/sister. Blake didn't seem to listen too well cause 5 min later we caught his hands roaming. Uggg MEN!!!. Anyhoo, like any relationship things grow cold and now they are out of the honeymoon stage and not even looking at each other.

It's almost time!!
So the day is coming. We are currently 37 1/2 weeks pregnant. Ariel's due date is July 5th, but in order to make sure she is not a monster baby like Gavin was, we have schedualled an induction date for July 2nd. So two weeks from today little Ariel will be here. (if not sooner). Scotts mom, Nancy, will be coming down from July 1st - July 5th to help with Gavin while we are in the hospital. At least that is the plan. She may decided to come early which in that case we will just have help at home during that time. We are also very excited to announce that our friends Brian and Catie Dodge are the proud parents of a gorgeous baby boy. Blake Michael Dodge was born on June 8th somewhere around 6:30am. He was 8lbs 2oz. Soooo cute. We have brough Gavin to visit him a few times to practice being a good big brother. He has been really good with him, so hopefully this is a good sign.

We are getting excited because after Ariel is born we will be heading to Minnesota for two weeks to visit family. The Kingsliens (Scotts Mom, Dad and Brother) will be coming over and with my parents, aunts, uncles and brother will be heading up to our Cabin in Northern Minnesota. We hope to all have a relaxing fun vacation but most of all this will give people a chance to meet the newest memeber of our family. (Ariel).
Other than that we have been staying pretty busy with working and running after Gavin. He is getting so grown up, and with that comes the grown up behaviors too. Temper Tantrums and all of that good stuff is a daily part of our lives now. He is very into sports (mostly baseball) He loves watching his Daddy kick up some dirt on the softball field. Scotts softball team started a new season last night and they won!!! That is a great way to start the season. Anyhoo here is a picture of Gavin when he found our friend Brian's hockey helmet. Like I said he loves all sports

Well thats all for now. Life is still just going day by day. Talk to you soon.

Gavin will be a great big brother

Well we are 33 weeks pregnant with little Ariel Rose. She is getting stronger by the day, and that means I am getting bigger. Gavin likes to give his sister kisses. For some reason even though he can say Ariel, he calls her Cereal. His Easter (sister) Cereal (Ariel). This morning we were practicing how to hold and rock a baby. He thought that was pretty funny.
