It's almost time!!

So the day is coming. We are currently 37 1/2 weeks pregnant. Ariel's due date is July 5th, but in order to make sure she is not a monster baby like Gavin was, we have schedualled an induction date for July 2nd. So two weeks from today little Ariel will be here. (if not sooner). Scotts mom, Nancy, will be coming down from July 1st - July 5th to help with Gavin while we are in the hospital. At least that is the plan. She may decided to come early which in that case we will just have help at home during that time. We are also very excited to announce that our friends Brian and Catie Dodge are the proud parents of a gorgeous baby boy. Blake Michael Dodge was born on June 8th somewhere around 6:30am. He was 8lbs 2oz. Soooo cute. We have brough Gavin to visit him a few times to practice being a good big brother. He has been really good with him, so hopefully this is a good sign.

We are getting excited because after Ariel is born we will be heading to Minnesota for two weeks to visit family. The Kingsliens (Scotts Mom, Dad and Brother) will be coming over and with my parents, aunts, uncles and brother will be heading up to our Cabin in Northern Minnesota. We hope to all have a relaxing fun vacation but most of all this will give people a chance to meet the newest memeber of our family. (Ariel).
Other than that we have been staying pretty busy with working and running after Gavin. He is getting so grown up, and with that comes the grown up behaviors too. Temper Tantrums and all of that good stuff is a daily part of our lives now. He is very into sports (mostly baseball) He loves watching his Daddy kick up some dirt on the softball field. Scotts softball team started a new season last night and they won!!! That is a great way to start the season. Anyhoo here is a picture of Gavin when he found our friend Brian's hockey helmet. Like I said he loves all sports

Well thats all for now. Life is still just going day by day. Talk to you soon.

Gavin will be a great big brother

Well we are 33 weeks pregnant with little Ariel Rose. She is getting stronger by the day, and that means I am getting bigger. Gavin likes to give his sister kisses. For some reason even though he can say Ariel, he calls her Cereal. His Easter (sister) Cereal (Ariel). This morning we were practicing how to hold and rock a baby. He thought that was pretty funny.

Gavins First Major League Baseball Game

Scott took Gavin to his first Major League Baseball game a couple weeks ago. They got to meet a couple players and got a couple of the practice balls. Gavin loves baseball, but he wasn't loving the 90 degree heat. So they stayed for about half the game and then went swimming. Soon to be dad Brian Dodge, was practicing by taking Gavin in the pool. (Gavin thinks Brian is pretty cool)

Gavin's 2nd Birthday

So Gavin now 2 years old. He celebrated this on April 3rd, 2009. Grandma Anderson was down here to help celebrate, and The Kingslien's came down the next week. On his birthday we opened presents in the morning (cause he couldn't wait) and he got lots of fun toys. Some of his favorites are anything to do with cars, trains, and airplanes, and his own little lap top computer.
We then took him to the swamps. We we went on a Air Boat ride. He didn't like the noise, and wouldn't wear the ear plugs so we had to cover his ears. He liked seeing the alligators though.
Later that night we had cake and sang happy birthday. He now thinks that everytime he gets cake its his birthday. LOL.

London's Baptism

Scott went up to Michigan at the end of March to become the Godfather of little London Raine Shaver (newest addition to the Shaver Family) He said the service was very nice and that London seemed to love him. According to him (Scott) she was all smiles when he was around...

Florida Keys 2009

So Here are some pictures from the Florida Keys in Feburary 2009. We stayed in Islamorada for a week. It was pretty cold the whole time but we had a couple sunny days. (when I say cold, I mean like 55 degrees. Which is very cold for the Keys)
Scotts parents go down there for a couple weeks every year, and hopefully next year we will join them again. (with another little one)

Christmas 2008

Ok so here are some pictures from Christmas of last year. We were lucky enough to recieve plane tickets for Christmas so that we could be with family during the Holidays. Gavin got his first taste of snow and I really mean taste! He loved sledding around the front yard, even when getting plowed in the face with snow. Even though he is a true Floridian he still has some of that NORTH COUNTRY blood in him. We had a great time....

Scott and Stephanie's Wedding 2008

Ok, So I am just posting some photos over the last few months that some people may not have seen. Here are a couple pictures from our Wedding last September. Can't believe its been almost 8 months.

Can I add a picture???

So I am sitting here trying to figure out how all of this works. Unfortuately I haven't uploaded any real current pictures lately. So as a test here is a pic of Scott and I when I first moved to Fort Lauderdale in April 2006. Who knew what an adventure we were about to start. Well, I will be sure to post some more updated pictures later today when I get Gavin down for a nap.

Bye

First Blog

Well this is my first official blog. I have loved following The Shavers blog and seeing new pictures of their princess', so I figured it wouldn't be a bad idea. We have Ariel on the way so I am sure everyone will want pictures and such when she is born, (not to mention pictures of ever so cute Gavin). This way I can post pictures and updates and then just send a mass email to family with the link.. Anything to make our crazy lives a little less crazy. And they are just going to get crazier.

Well I will keep this first one short. I have to set everything up and then I will start posting some pictures.
